Thread: How To Create A Virtual Drive?

  1. #1
I am using a back up version of a video editing program called Pinnacle Liquid Edition.

This back up is burnt to a disc using alcohol 120.

The set up and install of this back up went fine.

The problem is that when the program launches it requires that the disc is present to check to make sure its the right disc, copy protection type stuff.

It has checked and it doesn't think this back up is legit.

Can I use a virtual drive to avoid this problem?

When I burned the image with alcohol did I burn it using the wrong format?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

click on vitural drive in alcohol 120, and set 1-2. not that hard. alcohol 120 is by far the best. it burns, and it works on all images.

should I uninstall all this software and try to use a virtual drive.

I am not fully understanding something.

The image is saved to my hard drive as an MDF.

do i need to use alcohol 120 to convert that first? then create a virtual drive?

or can I and should I just take that MDF file and turn it into a virtual drive with alcohol 120?

    1. Open A120%.
    2. In the menu on the left, click on Virtual Drive.
    3. Numer of Virtual devices: 1. Click Ok.
    4. At the bottom, in the drive list, right click on the virtual drive you just made.
    5. Click on Mount Image, and pick the MDF file.
    6. Done.
