you can convert it too Mpeg or avi

    get DVD2avi

if you want it as a mpeg after using DVD2avi use TMPGEnc

be warned though the quality becomes crap

I've known some people who ask how do you compress my DVDs to share??

then when they do it they complain about loss of quality

    doh

    what do they expect?

    with DVD-shrink

You just need to look @ the top bar and check if it is completely green if not you have to compress more

which way are you talking about IKEs way or mine (adthomp) i was having problems logging in as me

the reason i ask is coz IKEs way you are keeping the VOB files which are DVD files

I'm not sure what you want to do share the file to make it smaller or are you trying to copy a DVD??

if your copying a DVD do what IKE said

about converting to AVI i would use XVID imo better quality

but if I rip a DVD to my HD to share I normally just use TMPGEnc to convert to MPEG its better quality but larger in size

After you saved the *-VOB Files on your HD you can compress them with
a programm called "Easydivx" - I used it for all my movies I've rented in the
    library.

    Search on google for Esaydivx
