do you have codecs installed?
what player do you use?
What does Gspot say?

WMPlayer 9 should work fine for you. I've been using it on my Home Theater PC [on a variety of movie/codecs]and have had no problems.
You've got to have all codecs(both audio and video) installed to insure proper playback.
The K-Lite codec pack should work fine for you.
The G-spot tool is used for identifying the audio/video codecs used in a movie file.
You can get the G-spot codec appliance here.
Although, trying a different mediaplayer may also work. Some just plain work better on different machines.
Do a Google for the aforementioned media players as well as my favorite alternative...Zoomplayer.
Good luck with it..
