    it says the windows file is missing or corrupt:
    sytem32\drivers\ntfs.sys

    i cant reinstall windows cos it wont let me go in to the system recovery.

    system recovery missing file or currupt:
    d:\xpsp1\base\boot\setup\arcdisp.c.

    do u have the disk?

    no cos thats what the recovery is its just the cds built in to the hard drives so i can load it up from there but theres a god dam file missing/currupt there

    can u have a shot of a xp corp/pro/home disk, relevant version for what winxp u got.

    my bro has the xp pro on cd should i install that?

    u could try booting with the cd, and there is an option in it somewhere to repair the current install of winxp. try that

    give it a go, it may work.

    or i think u can do it via the dos recovery console maybe, but not sure how.

    how do u go in the dos console?
