when I play an incomplete download using videolan, by the time it reaches the end of what it was trying to play it freezes up and my whole systme goes to a crawl and I have to restart, this only happens with incomplete movies not complete ones, im guessing its trying to play the movie as im downloading it causing massive cpu usage, can this be fixed?

I have exactly the same problem. Is there a problem with vlc? Can something be done about it? Is there a vlc upgrade to fix this problem somewhere on the horizon?

Why dont you code a bugfix then.

Other than that, Im sure vlc developers are on the job. Give it some time
