i got broadabnd on Thursday from Tiscali and up until today ive been getting excellent speeds like 18.00kb/s bear in mind that it is only a 150kb/s modem though.
today i cant seem to get past 5kb/s
even with soulseek and kazaa
i have heard that certain internet companies can Cap you to stop you gettingthe high speeds if you download to often

Azzz - Is your package a good deal? Because I'm thinking of switching to broadband and I heard about tiscali's 150kbps package which sounds like a good deal since I pay the same amount for dial up.
If you're in the UK get Blueyonder. No d/l cap they also turn a blind eye to piracy.
I wasn't going to buy it in the first place, so me downloading it for free isn't losing them any money.

I notice that some U.S. isp's are trying to adopt such policies. None of any I deal with but there are some that say you can only download a certain amount each month. Rubbish
