I became nostalgic and installed Hitman 2 again. The game crashes at startup without any error message.
I know that it is because of the driver of my soundcard.
I have installed th latest driver for my soundcard and now the game crashes.
With my old driver that never happend.
My soundcard is a "Creative SounBlaster PCI 128" which is highly compatible with the game (I checked the ReadMe file).
When I dissable the sound (by editing the Hitman 2 INI file) the game works fine and also if I install my old sound driver it works fine.
I don't want to rollback my sound driver. Can anyone help me to solve the problem without having to uninstall my new sound driver ??

I have solved the problem now.For everyone else who has the same problems try this:
Start -> Run ... type "dxdiag" (without quotes) and press ok.
Dx opens, go to sound tab. There adjust slider down a notch or two From "Full Acceleration" to "Normal Acceleration" or "Basic Acceleration")
That's it B)
