Thread: Bypassing Download Limits

    Hi all havent been on for a while and wow hasnt it changed looks good though...annny way I had a brainwave a while ago and decided to leave the uk for the shores of new zealand I have now set the comp up and got new isp on 56k sllllooooooow my problem is this I want broadband which is available but it is capped at 1gig a month I can sh*t more than a gig of information in a month let alone download a movie.To get 30 gig a month will set me back $400 which is a p*sstake I cant even try different companys as the telecom over here is one company there is no competition :helpsmile: is the any way of bypassing the download cap.Ie turn the modem upside down?(used to work on gas meters in the uk )

    Uncap it? No problem. Easy enough to do.

    What are you gonna do when the bill arrives though?

    All bandwidth is still metered and recorded at the server and they will bill you!

    i think he meant the ammount of data cap, not the speed cap.

    Same difference. You can bypass it.

    Till they do their regular audit and put the excess on your bill.
