Thread: Monitor Refresh

    I have a 21 inch screen , it was made in 97 tho, what should I set the refresh rate to? I am asking because I just bought a fx 5200 (256 mb) and every so often the screen like freezes then goes back to normal, and it doesnt do it with my geforce 4 mx 440 ? any ideas?

    funny Ive been playing with my refress rates to&#33; I have a new Raideon 9700 pro. So I thjought I play around after tweaking My moniter is a viewsonic 17ps Ileft mine at 75mh
    then bumped to 85 seems fine . Your video card has a lot to do with it .

    My old monitor (now my brothers) is a 3 year old Dell monitor...its can go to 85

    My new viewsonic ultra bright can only go to 75...whats up with that?

    both 17inches

    mine sucks it can only do 72 hz, the amount of times i have got a nasty message saying "video frequency is out of range" when i play with settings or install new operating systems is very annoying.

    Mine says it supports 120 mh no way Im setting that high heard some badddd things
    about screwing up your monitor. I&#39;d set my to at lest 75mh tho Better for the eyes.

    Your comp is suppose to detect what you monitor properties are. I have mine set to 200 MHz

    It does this anytime, whatever im doing, except it doesnt do this when im playing a game? Does anybody know what I could try to fix it or anything?

    I just uped mine to 100 I can&#39;t tell the differance but I did check to make sure that little box is ticked THO &#33;
