cant you network em with a VPN setup or somethin?

i tried searching for info, but all results were shite...

OS's are xp, both of em...

do you want to send a file to your computer at home from a remote location ?

say i log onto another pc, and d/l a file,
how to forward it to my pc at home? or vice versa

I havent tried it very often, but you should be able to select the directory. But i can&#39;t be sure.

pcanywhere is a bit overkill just to transfer a few files. i would look into setting up a sftp server or ssh.

either can be used to transfer files securely.

openssh for windows
filezilla excellent ftp client and server.

still curious about the windows vpn solution,
but i can get pcanywhere, hell, emule can get ya anything on the face of the earth

any other info on vpn w/o 3rd party software is still welcome B)

A vpn connection is possible but depending on where your connecting from and how often your connecting.............it may be a little impractible just to transfer a few files. It would be much more simpler to go with 4play&#39;s suggestion especially since ssh connections are pretty secure for the most part.
