    just looking for some diagnostic software to
    look for problems in my comp before they happen
    like something for the ram or hard drive.... and others

    Sisoft sandra is a good overall diagnostic and memtest 86 is excellent for checking your RAM.

    Theres also a good online test at www.pcpitstop.com

    Aida32 is pretty good. It does benchmarking too.
