can he get any more predictable. the incumbent u.s. president seems a bit reluctant to appear at events that aren't packed with card-carrying conservatives, soldiers or sailors, nowadays. the majority of bush speeches i've seen in recent months have been given at military bases where he had to wait for the troops to stop chanting "u.s.a.! u.s.a.!" before he could even speak. is the man actually planning his appearances according to the statistical probability of him getting any hecklers in the crowd?

First the famous flight suit and aircraft carrier and now NASCAR.

Did anyone at Daytona actually believe that Bush knows ( or cares) the least iota about NASCAR?

Did Bush believe that all those people showed up to see him?

At any rate, they've gotten quite good lately.
I couldn't see Cheney and the handlers manipulating the strings at all.

How far we've come since Howdy Doody.
