    hi,

    download hijack this here.

ok. *deep breath* here we go

first make a folder for hijack this. (it will keep the backup files from cluttering your desktop)

rescan with hijack this and tick the boxes next to the following:
    Code:
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaults/stp/ymsgr*http://my.yahoo.com
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaults/su/ymsgr/*http://www.yahoo.com
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = localhost
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page_bak = http://www.packetnews.com/

    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497} - (no file)

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000240} - C:\Program Files\ClearSearch\IE_ClrSch.DLL (file missing)
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {204F937E-519E-4597-96FA-8F1F59F3CB6D} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\ctor.dll
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {E8955010-54F9-4E88-4536-D4D89F841DA9} - C:\PROGRA~1\ERRORA~1\2Surf.dll (file missing)
    O3 - Toolbar: less draw dead - {259C9A6C-1953-02C3-FD95-24A2198E8FA0} - C:\PROGRA~1\ERRORA~1\2Surf.dll (file missing)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Open Site] C:\Program Files\Open Site\opnste.exe   (----see the link below for more info on this)
    O4 - Global Startup: Logitech Desktop Messenger.lnk = C:\Program Files\Logitech\Desktop Messenger\8876480\Program\LDMConf.exe
    O4 - Global Startup: Reboot.exe

    O16 - DPF: {F5192746-22D6-41BD-9D2D-1E75D14FBD3C} - http://download.rfwnad.com/cab/crack.CAB

you can also tick any other of the 016's that you don't ordinarily use.  they can be downloaded again as needed.

I couldn't find much info on the cake.exe.   If you don't use it anymore tick that box and  (after the reboot) delete the file:  C:\PROGRA~1\README~1\The Cake.exe

hit fix checked, reboot and repost a new log if you still have problems.
information on the open site entry:  http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/adware.opensite.html
on second thought, it might have been a leftover from hotbar. let's hope getting rid of that bho will rid you of the toolbar.
