Umm, that might be a Windows Media Problem with their damn licensing with their WMV,
What player are you using?
and what type of file are you trying to play?

why are you using windows media plater to view movies , get bsplayer, or videolan
both allow you to view almost all types of video , and you can view them full scren , and i mean without any black lines
