    when i try to log onto my ftp using and no-ip.com address i get some stupid error about a proxy setting. I am a student there so i wont have much access to stuff. Is their anyway to bypass that? Thanks

    Are you using Explorer as your FTP client?

    yep, thats all i can use

    there are two possibilities:

    1. go and ask the IT service and see - they may use a reverse DNS lookup or stg, in which case your no-ip may not work.

    2. try to do it the other way - most places will allow you to ftp into them

    No it&#39;s not. Install LeechFTP, which is cool because it&#39;s a one-file program (executable only). Replace some crap program like MS Calculator with it.

    No... just rename the old file and replace it when he&#39;s done.
