before i thought u meant that u used the same heatsync from teh 2000 processor for the 2500 and didnt put new thermal paste on but it was a new heatsync and new thermal paste right?

and i wont put the 2500 back in till i get artic silver....

...by then i will have DDR400 memory and bigdawg will be taking me thru the steps of getting it successfully up to 3200

Its just wierd that with your 2000XP or 2200XP, it reads the temps right..and with the 2500XP it reads them wrong..or right and ur cpu is messed up..
