    I have this pc emachine eTower® 366i2 with these specs

    Microsoft® Windows® 98
    Intel® Celeron™ 366MHz (w/128KB Cache) PPGA CPU
    64MB SyncDRAM (up to 256 MB)
    2 USB Ports (1 is on Front)
    1 Serial / 1 Parallel / 3 Expansion Slot
    Audio In & Out / Game Port on Front
    Internet Ready
    Microsoft Works
    ATI Rage Pro Turbo 2X AGP with 4MB SGRAM
    Crystal CS4280 3D PCI Audio
    40x Max. CD-ROM Drive
    24x10x40 CDRW Burner
    160GB HDD (Seagate)
    3.5" 1.44MB FDD
    Eithernet Card
    PS/2 Keyboard/Mouse
    Stereo Speakers

    I want to find out the board name but it is not listed on AIDA so how can i find it? Also i want to get a 256mb chipset of memory pc 100 to put in it what is the best price and cheapest?

    maybe on the emachines website it might tell you the motherboard in the system but it is most likely a special made one for emachines systems. in your manual it will say which is teh most amount of ram it can support.

    i recomend you buy 256mb pc133 as usually pc133 is cheaper than pc100, it was when i bought it for my old computer.

    open the case and see if there is any writing on the board. Look for part numbers or model numbers. Use google.com to search for the best price on memory.

    I have looked on the board but cant find corresponding numbers that match and the emachine webpage doesnt have the name of the board, also i tried some pc133 256mb memory but it didnt reconize it

    how many memory slots does the board have? i think if it has two you will need to buy two 128mb sticks rather than 1 256mb stick.

    Do i have to use 2x128mb or can i jus use 1x256mb?

    on old computers usually can only have half the maximum amount of ram in each slot. it happened to me on my old computer. i also couldnt use a 128 and a 256 because my maximum was\is 256mb.

    my new computer takes like 3gb or something
