How much could I overclock it with stock cooling?
I wasn't going to buy it in the first place, so me downloading it for free isn't losing them any money.

bigdawgfox has his overclocked to a 3400+ which is quite amazing, mostly though people will OC to a 3200+ then stop
do you have sufficient airflow through your system? and what are your current temps?

You can technically overclock it as much as you want.

But most people I know easily overclock it to 3200+ levels, and still retain temperatures in the 50C range, with average case cooling.

As I have said before, BigDawg's Temps are umm, on the cold side. Sometimes I wonder if ASUS makes the temps lower than they are.

Speculation and Cospiricies, but perhaps im just a suspicious person.

Could be..but mine runs at 2310Mhz fine. You can get it to 2.2Ghz, which is a 400Mhz overclock with stock cooling and decent airflow, GO FOR IT!

If you buy the retail chip you get the stock heat sink and fan. That is the one bigdawg uses, yes.

just remember, bigdawg mounted an 80mm case fan on his stock heatsink. and bigdawg also has 5 other case fan keeping good airflow inside his case. so keep those in mind,

Ok thanks for your help, I think thats what I'll get cause I don't wanna pay like double the price of a 2500 for a 3200 when I can just o/c a 2500.
