Why Was My Old Original K Lite So Much Better

Ive tried klr and now im on 2.4.sumpin and i cant get a descent dl speed to save my ass. Am i just expecting to much. I just got a new computer and had to dl this new stuff and it doesnt work anywhere near as good or even as close to as fast as my original kazaa lite, and i have a waaayyy better connection know. Im getting frustrated and. am i just expecting way to much or has it really gone down hill. Muscleman if you read this, when i dloaded van halen yesterday it was fast, and today it was really slow again.
