Shareaza Crashes Suddenly !?

Any idea why Shareaza suddenly crashes ..sooner or later..
it just wont run perfectly

im running it on Win ME

System specs, Shareaza version, average time the program runs before crashing... that kind of thing.

I have found that Shareaza will crash some times whne other app is running, especially KL.

have you upgraded your version to 1.8.10.4? That might help I just did that to mine today.

I once read on there forms that if you have Nimo codec pack installed this could cause it to crash

If too many internet connections (each download source, upload, upload request, search, network connections, web surfing attempts, etc) are open at once, it can crash Windows.

Win 9x/ME are notoriously bad in this regard, as 100 connections max is their limit before they are guarenteed to crash.

Wireless routers also are more limited than many other connection types on max connections at once.

So opening multiple file-sharing programs at once that BOTH like to make lots of connections is a recipie for disaster unless you limit ALL of them to conservative values.

Shareaza

BitTorrent


All at the same time in win XP pro..

I reconmend upgrading to winXP or 2000 PRO make sure your are using updated network card drivers...

I never had that problem on XP but on windows ME :x
