Two Questions About Bt Trackers

1. How does the Tracker Groups in Azureus work?
Cos Im getting a ROTK torrent from SN but has the exact same copy on torrentbits, now they say that TB is slow but SN is down alot. So Im wondering if theres any use in having them both in a tracker group.

2. Are BT trackers BW intensive? I want to place one on my site (gonna use the TorrentTrader), but my coadmin is worried about bandwidth usage....

I can answer your second question (don't understand the first) yes php based Bt trackers are BW hogs mine,with 50 torrents and 1500 peers was making 50000 sql database requests per minute ,which is why my domain host shut it down

If your going to have a busy tracker you should look into the XBT tracker ,its written in C and is much less of a BW hog than trackers written in php, such as the TorrentTrader

And in the first question, I asked about the "Tracker groups" feature in Azureus.
But I have figured that one out myself, the reason I asked is that before, I had no way of testing it
