    I suppose it's simply that £17.11 for a Lexmark compatible cart. doesn't compare too well with £3.97 for an almost equivalent chipped epson compatible cart.

    The problem is that Lexmark actually use HP carts with their own branding. And because HP defend their patent so vigorously what you see as compatible carts are actually refurbished/refilled HP carts. They probably have to pay a royalty to HP even on those.

    HP invents.

    And then rips you off.

    someone mentioned refilling dont, can damage your printer.
    Also you're better off getting your carts elseware, £57 > £30 in store.
