I have a little side table next to me that has my mouse on and also holds my ashtray and cup of tea (cans of lager on the weekend ). I was thinking I had the perfect set up but yours sounds better...

I have my mouse on a special cutting mat.

I use it as a work surface to "trim" CD covers with an exacto knife. The surface is especially made to "self repair" after cutting.

Works great as a mouse pad also.

An upside-down Buffy the Vampire Slayer mouse mat, that's been scratched to hell.

I don't have one. It just gets in the way.
The color of this signature is really blue. If you see otherwise, please adjust your monitor settings.

Just some crap Theme Park one.

I hear that greaseproof paper for baking is actually an excellent mouse mat when taped to a table (for Opticals).
