Thread: Manual Installation?

1. #1
Is it possible to install a program like kazaa-lite without using the installer?

Because on my computer I don't have administratior rights (forgot the password ) and I cannot install any program, but I can download things from the net and extract it from a zip file or something like that.

Or do you have to use the installer?

I belive that you have to use the installer. And you do need admin rights. You can search on google for ways to reset your administrator password.

This raises an interesting question:
If you zipped up KL++'s main folder AND copied KL++'s main registry key, then can you get it to work on another computer?

I dunno, but it's worth finding out...

You would still need administrator rights.
It's the same thing the installer does, write keys to the registry and set the default values.

Difference is KLK++ FORCES you to have admin rights

What's the difference? Admin. rights are required either way.
