    umm well im only going to need the necessary things for a computer... i already got a laser printer... and im keeping my old computer... thats going to be my fathers computer to mess around with now.... so all im really going to need is a network card which i can buy for a cheap and the computer itself... lolz

    id suggest newegg.com personally

    monitor
    keyboard
    mouse
    floppy drive
    cd drive (cdrw dvdrw whatever ur into)
    mother board
    processor w/fan or without then u gotta get aftermarket one
    ram
    hard drive
    speakers
    soundcard
    video card
    network card
    modem if thats what us use


    alot of the items can be taken off of the list depending on the mother board you buy asus a7n8x come with network card and sound card firewire usb 2.0 saves a little bit of money also can get that same board with onboard video i dunno about that tho

    well i found a good frame/case...

    BLUE CHIEFTEC <-- well im going to find a better color ... i like silver
    Western Digital Caviar Special Edition WD800JB
    CORSAIR MEMORY 512MB PC2700 VALUE SELECT. DDR RAM - OEM

    heheh... now let&#39;s start thinking about the rest...

    i want a power supply upgrade... something cheap....

    im basing the stuff on alienware right now

    If I were you I would check out pricegrabber.com. They are an excellent place for comparison shopping and offer many different vendors. Pricewatch.com is another price comparing site, but some of the vendors there don&#39;t look as reputable.

    The most dang basic computer in today&#39;s world is gonna need



    a motherboard (also called a mainboard)

    a hard drive

    a CPU (like a Pentium 4 or an Athlon XP)

    a heatsink, fan, and thermal paste to install on the CPU

    some RAM

    a video card

    a power supply

    a case

    a mouse

    a keyboard

    BULLSHIT YOU NEED A CASE...
