hi guys, I have all the hp drivers needed and they work fine, but now I was wondering how to I find out what serial port my printer is using? I tried some paralell ports on linux, but none work let my printer print. it is a hp deskjet 648c. So in cnclusion, how can I figure out what port it uses? I tried thru windows, but it says in the control panel under devices "printer port lp1" what do I do?

Is there anything at http://www.linuxprinting.org or http://www.lprng.com/PrintingCookbook/?

There might be a listing in /proc about the parallel ports.
