If you've got a video file that's too big to fit on one CD, you can try cutting off a certain portion of the file (e.g. the end credits...). It's fairly easy to do, using VirtualDub. There are only really a few steps involved:

    1. Open VirtualDub and drop in your video file:

    2. Move the time bar to your desired start time and click on the "start offset" arrow, as shown here:

    3. Then move the bar to the desired end time and click the "end offset" arrow:

    4. Then you have to choose your video compression. Go to video>compression and select a codec:

    5. Then just save the file in your desired location:

    Simple
On a given day or given circumstance, you think you have a limit.
And you then go for this limit and you touch this limit and you think "Ok, this is the limit".
As soon as you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further.
With your mind power, your determination, your instinct and the experience as well, you can fly very high.

great info & this could be helpful if they truely have to cut/trim a movie
I've never ran into a seen release movie that doesn't fit on a normal cdr
700mb cdr doesn't mean you can only fit 700mb
so to recap : if you download a movie it should fit on a normal cdr WITHOUT modification

Yeah, I agree with you (at least in part).
