hi, how do i make or change a certain media player to a default player?

depends on the player, for example in Windows Media Player you go to Tools, Options and then click the File Types Tab and select the ones you want it to play and click OK, look for something similar on the other programs, which player do you want to know about.

you can also right click a media file type you want played with a particular program and go to 'open with' and 'choose program' to select the program you want to use.
