Currently I've only got something that came bundled with the computer and was wondering if anyone could reccomend a better player. Downside is it has to be free. I'm looking for something that will play DVDs and VCDs, but other than that I'm not fussed. Any suggestions?

Not as though it needs another vote, but I'm saying Power DVD aswell

I read this on download.com does it definetly play VCD's or do I need a plug-in or something?

Get videolan , its free as your requested and it plays everything even dvd's, and vcd
