Please tell me he was joking. Someone. Please.

N00b - the hostel was about three quarters full, we were sharing dorms with strangers. Wasn't that bad though, they were all pretty friendly.

Looking south-west from the peak, down towards the loch
    Scotland's a lovely place
Odd, wake there in the Loch toward the shore on the right side, could that be Nessy?

I want to know if the people of Scotland are as fascinated by the possibility of the Loch Ness monster as Americans are or are they part of a national conspiracy to intermittently catch a fuzzy snapshot of her to keep the tourism dollars coming in?

Yes, The Loch Ness Monster is regularly seen in Loch Lomond

With regards to Scottish attitudes towards Nessie... that second one

Yep it's the tourist dollar for me, every time.

Have you eaten at the Buchannan Arms Hotel in Drymen. I have stayed there a couple of times and the food is excellent.

There's also a wee pub in the village which sells a nice pint and some single malts I wouldn't wonder.

    Liam-

    Please excuse Hobbes's unrelenting foolishness.

I must say, though, I have heard you Scots move Nessie from place to place in order that you might optimize the tourist dollars, eh?

Wouldn't it be simpler just to commission a whole fleet of Nessies?

    What a beautiful place.

Nessy gets around, Liam should know this.

Here is a link to a National Geographic documentary which delineates the migrational behavior of this tremendous animal.

    By gosh and golly, Hobbes-

I think you've blown the lid off this one!

Time for the dastardly Scots to be held to account!!!!

    We demand reparations!!!!!!!
