Mouse Problems

my mouse does not go around the monitor smoothly. it like goes an inch stop goes an inch the stop really fast.. i can notic it any ideas

if it's a cordless mouse it's most likly not installed or you dont have the right drivers
if it's a ball mouse just clean it

it worked befor... ps its and optical mouse. it only does it some times. it like glitches

iv had the mouse for 6 mouths it better work.

could be the surface you are on...make ure ur not using a red surface and that it isnt bumpy or shiney.

the glitches could be caused by your computers cpu being used 100% ocasionally, to fix this u should disable some programs from starting up to save resources:

start>run>type 'msconfig'>press enter>startup tab at the top>

find any programs you dont need at startup and disable them be removing the checkmark beside them. the only real programs u need to have running are graphics driver programs, antivirus, and firewall. everything else can be disabled, but u may have other programs you use. typically these startup programs are the little icons in your sys tray down by the clock. restart after doing this.

is it wireless as well? or just optical?
if it's wireless try moving your reciever away from anything else electrical that could interupt currents

thanks workes. my mom just puy a new table cloth on the tablt. i sliped a peice of paper under the mouse and works great.. Great service...... Is this site free. lol
