    Question Mark

    hi guys
just wanted to know what is the difference between corp version of windows Xp pro and orginal pro version?
is not needing registeration in Corp version the only difference?
does it labels Corp or just pro?

It's not labelled corp. Microsoft call the corp key a volume licensing key - VLK.

Corp has 11 files that differ from the regular Pro. Just changes it to accept Volume License key (VLK) and disables activation.

Is that something they've changed since XP was released?
We used a VLK on two machines using the same retail XP Pro disc at my old job many years ago; it worked on them.

No. Those 11 files have been required since the beginning. If you managed to use the VLK then it was a Corp version. Your company must have been using a Corp Edition.

Hmm. That's very unlike them - they're tight like you wouldn't believe... I didn't get a wage increase for 10 years. Then they wondered why I left.
