The thing that always gets me is that when some groups move, or emigrate to a country then they insist that they are allowed to break the law.

It is my religious belief that I have to wear something on my head, therefore I will not wear a crash helmet. It is the law for everyone else but I will not do it. In a spirit of tolerance we say, fine we can see and accept that.

However if I go to the country they come from, which is controlled by their religion, I must follow their rules, without exception. We do not allow alcohol, so if you are caught with it, you will be punished.

It appears to me that some religions demand that the law is changed to suit them, but they will not afford the same tolerance to other people. It's our way or nothing.

My attitude a simple, I suppose I agree with them, the law should be the same for everyone. If it does not suit your beliefs then please feel free to live in a country whose laws and codes do. I am happy to do that.

I think we should take the same line as other countries do. You will not break our laws. If you do you will be punished, if you are not a citizen here you will be invited to leave.

I guess that is one of the good things about living in a free country.

    I agree comprehensively, J'Pol.

    Alex-

I'm lost as to how you mean that, exactly:

Free to adhere to the law, or free to flout it?
