Thread: Easy Vcd

  1. #1
Soz I kinda screwed up on the first attempt (as always&#33 so I needed to start a new topic to change the topic title.

This software is excellent. If you want to convert a DVD that is TV Shows
eg. The Osbournes then I suggest you use one of the following guides depending on what you want to make:

DVD 2 VCD Guide (Manual): Click Here

DVD 2 KVCD Guide (Manual): Click Here

Anyway this software is called Easy VCD many of you have probably heard of it and if you use it I suggest you stop reading.

You can download Easy VCD from here:

    Download Easy VCD

Once youv'e downloaded Easy VCD open it

If it comes up with this error message just click ok

    Now this should load up:

    Image Resized
    Image Resized
    <a href=&#39;

    [img]http://nodeadlines.com/ebay/images/Easy%20VCD1.JPG' width='200' height='120' border='0' alt='click for full size view'></a>

Now if you want to make a VCD or a KVCD depends on the settings so heres a list of what everything does, I have split the screen into two:

RED: This is where you select your DVD Drive if you haven&#39;t already inserted the disc.

YELLOW: Leave these settings they are automatic

GREEN: This setting ditermines the quality, the higher the quality the slower the process.

BLUE This is what the final file comes out as the options are:

VCD-Turns the dvd into an mpeg file, if the movie is longer than 80 mins it will need to be split into 2 or more parts (explained later)

XVCD-Makes the movie so it will fit onto one disc, burnt through the process of VCD. NOTE:XVCD doesnt work on all dvd players

    SVCD- Creates a SVCD

    XSVCD- Creates a XSVCD

PURPLE: Choose the size of the blank disc you are going to burn the movie onto.

ORANGE:If you chosse to create a XVCD or a XSVCD then leave this at 1. If not then increase it to the amount of files you want the movie to be split up into.

GREY: If you haven&#39;t already put the DVD into your drive and press SCAN DISC

RED:Choose the folder where the final file will be made

GREEN: Type a name for your final file

BLUE: If you chosse to create a XVCD or a XSVCD then leave this at 1. If not then increase it to the amount of files you want the movie to be split up into.

PURPLE Choose what the file type will be

    Options

Make MPEG Files: I always choose this.

    Make Bin/Cue images

Just rip VOBS: Just rips the vob files from the DVD

YELLOW: This deletes the vob files and any other files created during the process (recomended)

ORANGE: Choose this option and your computer will automatically shutdown after the process is complete.

Now we got all the settings sorted just click RIP IT

And there you go, easy as that.

The first time you do this half way through the precess a message will pop up saying about mpeg 2 function has run out. Don&#39;t worry about this just tick the box DON&#39;T SHOW THIS MESSAGE AGAIN and click ok.

Then you just need to burn the file that it creates

Be greatful if someone could try this and say if they think the guide is good/ needs inprovements

    Thanks B) :beerchug:
