how would i rip a dvd on to my pc. but i wanna rip the whole thing with menus and everything just as the dvd is when u pop it in the dvdrom. and when i rip the dvd does it do anything to the dvd or anything please help.

i would suggest either dvdshrink or dvddecrypter - theyre both very easy to use. you need to install one of these programs. then put the dvd in your drive, boot up the program and follow the simple steps (ie with dvd shrink you just click full backup - it will then copy the full movie inc extras, audio tracks and menus etc to your harddrive)
you can then burn off the backup with a dvd writer (or just watch it on your pc) with something like nero
and dont worry, it does absolutely nothing to the original dvd
