BIN file = Yes. You must have this.
CUE file = Optional with most programs. Easy to make.

    .bin holds the film/game/program.

    .cue is this:

    FILE "(file)" BINARY
    TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00

where the (file) is put the name of the .bin file e.g.

    FILE "Battlefield.Vietnam.[Multilenguaje].[3CDs].[www.elmejorwarez.org].CD1.bin" BINARY
    TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00

you don't need the CUE file, but it helps. the CUE file tells Nero certain details about how to burn the BIN file, so if you don't have the CUE you'll have to set those options manually (and you might not set them correctly).

gungrave's example is only one possibility of what the CUE file might contain. it could say Mode 2, it could have several tracks, it could be a mixture of data tracks and audio tracks. it can be a lot more complicated than the example he posted.

whenever possible, you should try to get the CUE, and point Nero to that (rather than the BIN) when you burn the image to disc.
