Video File Compression

Can anyone recommend a user-friendly program that will allow me to compress video files so I can burn them into CD-R 700mb?

are you talking raw avi files that you have captured from a camera

dr divx will do just fine

I'm referring to video files in general. For example: raw avi files, Dvd rips or movies screeners etc.

In other words the wide range of video files found by those downloading from places like Suprnova etc.

the community makes it fit on a cd, thats how it works, they don't make them so you have to fuck with them
splitting/compressing is a waste of your time, maybe waist more time on how to properly burn bin's/cue's and how to enable "over burn"

I'm using Roixo Easy CD and DVD Creator 6 (basic edition).

Unfortunately this version does not provide over-burn. I would need to up-grade.
to the Roixo CD/DVD creator 7 (platinum version).

Can anyone recommend something better?
