If I attempt to download two to four torrent files simultaneously, my internet connection basically crawls. I have plenty of memory and CPU available but my bandwidth goes from double t1 speed to dial up speed. Also even though my torrent clients only show 3k up and down per session, the math doesn't work out. If I have 4 torrent downloads going at 3k up per and 3k down per, we'll assume that I'm uploading no more than 20k up and 20k down. Why doesn't it show all the other bandwidth being eaten up?

    I'm currently using bittorrent s-5.8.3.

Has anyone had better experience using another client?

Nope. Tried 3 different clients (generic, shadow and azureus) and the performance is always as you report.

Mind you, if you run Klite and BT together you get serious speed degredation as well and multiple downloads in Klite never add up to anything like the potential.

Seems it's a fact of life that there is an overhead loss in any P2P client for every additional download.

Answer - do 'em one at a time or find a good book to read!
