Thread: Missing Ram?

1. #21
ok like i said try sisoft sandra
otherwise in the bios look under intergrated peripherals, on board features, something like that, there should be a setting marked onboard video, vga, something like that, its NOT the AGP slot details, thats for the AGP slot, even though the onboard is also AGP. basically just look down all the settings for a number ending in MB, Sisoft Sandra is on Kazaa, but if your running XP you might be better off downloading the 2002 or earlier version, 2003 pro can be tricky with 98

You can mix different RAM speeds, but all the modules will run at the same speed as the slowest one installed.

if you want a full inventory of hardware and software in a computer use the belarc advisor (http://http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html)
a very cool free software tool.
i used that site just as said for the other guy, it all gave me my information, but still the same problem of RAM loss. this is what it came up with...:

Memory Modules c,d

960 Megabytes Installed Memory

Slot 'A0' has 512 MB
Slot 'A1' has 512 MB
Slot 'A2' is Empty
Slot 'A3' is Empty

^^^^^^^^^^
uhhh... i'm sure 512 + 512 = 1024 =\

The rest is probably used for either onboard video or shared for the addon video card.

Or maybe the mouse was hungry and ate it.
