Mega Codec Pack

I have decided to try to install the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack.

I have seen people advise that you un-install all other codecs first.

Is this true ?

I have about 17 codecs on my systems according to Windows Control Panel.

Is it easy to un-install them all ?

How will I find them to uninstall them ?

Does the Mega pack install every codec in it automatically ?

You don't have to.

It's just recommended to keep your system nice and tidy.

Some come pre-installed with Windows. You only have to look at the ones that are in the Add/Remove programs control panel.
