Say if i wanted to build a computer and the whole thing costs maybe around 1000 bucks CDN. In one year what do you think the price whould be.

http://www.pricenetwork.ca/ put in your province and you can find good prices but the thing I don't like about the site is that it doesn't have all of the computer store comparisons in the province you are in. But anyways you can find a prices that can help you and have a knowledge about the product that your going to buy.
