A few weeks ago I bought a Dell LCD 20.1" monitor. I am now noticing that there are really small green, blue and red dots in the upper left corner of the screen, maybe 75-100 of them. They stay the same color all the time and it is hard to see them unless the screen is displaying black and you are looking at it kinda close. Are these dead pixels or what and is there anything I can do to get them to go away?

if they dont renew ur warranty (they HAVE to exchange it for you) go to the BBB and report them and complain under a million diff. names until they cry

Dead pixels are a reality of LCD screens.

All mfg. have an allowance for the amount of dead pixels they will warranty. The quantity will vary but if yours is 75-100 than you surely will qualify for some warranty repair and/or replacement.

You can read the fine print of your monitors' warranty or call the mfg.

If you can't get any service locally, you are responsible for boxing and shipping(including costs involved) back to the mfg.

Those are the facts as far as product sold in North America.

    One more thing...
if they dont renew ur warranty (they HAVE to exchange it for you)
    That is so not true.
The BBB(Better Business Bureau) cannot do anything about a mfg warranty.

I speak from experience in the repair industry.

    peace
