Thread: Handheld For Reading

  1. #1
    Hi

Could anyone recommend a handheld device for reading all these lovely books?

I would rather not sit in front of my computer while reading the latest Pratchett

    Thanks in advance.

There's a couple of apps for series 60 phones that lets you read .txt:s, .doc:s or .rgo:s.

Then you get a phone too.

Same here. Palm OS + Tealdoc = hours of intense and enjoyable reading!

Add pratchett to that and it's heaven on earth

I don't know, might be tied to certain brands.

I've seen apps for siemens and nokia.

I only get symbian OS stuff myself, and that's nokia only as far as I know, so I can't tell you about what is available for Samsung.

@Gurahl n' Lurka: I know where to find good omens on .rgo.

But you need repligo for that, the viewer is free though.

IpaQ 3970 with M$Reader. Works perfectly for me. Especially since it has ClearType, very pleasing for the eyes.

Thanks but I already got it...

Now, reading e-books on palm OS is fine, but I got most of my files on the late fasttrack network, and as you probably know it, some files get ( slightly ) corrupted... And I'm still looking for an application which would let me read and edit .txt or .doc files...
