take off your oc. put back to stock, just to see if the temp goes down, if not then that isnt yourproblem, but if it is then we know that its because your ocing, and then you can buy a new heatsync or something.

Jaigandhi,

AtiVidia is right.
That case-temp sensor is probably located in the "Winbond" chip.
Try to feel the heat on that large chip next to the 20 pin connector (lower right corner in the pic). The chip without a heatsink.
And check if is a winbond chip.
In MBM you can probably check the winbond chip too.

Well, 40° isn't hot.

When you have some compressed air you could try to find the right chip by cooling each chip (one-by-one) with a running PC.
Set MBM to update it's readings every second, so you get feedback fast.

im hundred percent sure tht its the norhtbridge because wen i blow a fan on it the temp goes down a couple of degrees (3-5) and wen i put my finger on it, it cools a lil too (1-2 degree go down)

so u saying tht 40degree is not bad for the norhtbridge...

yesterday it went up to 50degrees!

btw i put the Clock back to normal and it didnt make any difference...

When you touch it it cools down?

Then probably the TIMs bond is broken, and the heatsink is loose on the chip.
Re-seating it with some AS-ceramique should do the trick.

Blowing with a fan proves very little as you cool half your board that way. The fan's output isn't focused. You used a 80mm fan I presume.
