i used to use this before upgrading to the pro version but really liked the home free version.

You can take an old computer and install something like Smoothwall and turn it into a great hardware firewall/NAT router. You don't even have tio install a version of Linux, really. Check out Linux Live disks. Or you can just buy a router, but the above way is free and isn't as troublesome as a software firewall.
