I don't belive there is a way to block your ulpoading unles you cap the ulpoads with Personal Torrent Collector.

The last ditch stand for honest P2P is you cannot (should not) download from BT without uploading as well.
If you could toggle off uploading the whole community would dizzolve into little, self interested groups seeking to protect their patch from hit and run leeches.

Try re-installing your client or change to another one - I recomend Azureus.
