Tell it the way you see it, just be honest when you express your opinions, rather than trying to be accepted.

There is a line in a song, goes something like "I&#39;d rather hurt you honestly, than deceive you with a lie".

Don&#39;t go out of your way to hurt folk, or look for opportunities to do so. However don&#39;t be afraid to stand up for what you believe in. To do anything else is to let everyone down, including yourself and those you interact with.

This does not preclude the option of keeping your yap shut when that is the most appropriate thing to do. That is entirely different from supporting a position you fundamentally disagree with.

At least that&#39;s my opinion.
