Heres another great little freeware util for the cleanup section; coincidentally called CleanUp!
I've been using it for years now. Clears out all temp files, cleans index.dat, it'll even reset your minesweeper and solitaire scores if you want.

NOD32 - This program is great on resources. The interface is very simple and easy to use. A free version is available for download on the NOD32 website.

are you sure there is? as far as i'm concerned Eset never released any free antivirus other than trial ones

thanks for pointing that out. i thought there was a free version, but i guess i got it mixed up with avg

luckily i had a backup of my latest additions to the thread so i was able to restore it after this mess.

anyways there are thank you notes at teh bottom of the guide so the people who posted will still get recognised.
