What Is Best Ftp Program?

As the title says, what is the best FTP program. Needs to be able to switch between ASCII and Binary mode both manually and automatically. Obviously, security should be half decent.

Currently using BulletProof FTP and although this was recommended to me years ago and haven't any faults with it, I've noticed it going rather slow when both uploading and downloading throughout different times of the day.

I'm using WS_FTP pro 8.01...but I'm not terribly happy with it.
It's good and all, but I'm sure there's something better.

My friend likes Directory Opus, which is really a file management thing (like Windows Explorer replacement) that has FTP & stuff built in.
I used to use a similar one called Windows Commander

Ftp program? I only gave a suggestion. Your comment was ummmmm "cute"

To be frank, I use a terminal (command line) for ftp.
