If I have a film on my hard drive, can I watch it on my tv using a tv-out card?

Also, is a tv-out card the same as a tv-card?

yes you can see anything that you see on your computer on your TV screen with a "tv-out card."

A TV card is a TV tuner, im guessing. TV Tuner lets you watch TV channels, or a VCD\DVD player\Videogame console\camcorder on your computer. It also lets you record using certain software programs.

Or easier still, look and see if your video card has a tv/video out jack.

Thanks Rossco, reason I was confused was that I looked on pcworld.co.uk(not gonna buy from there, just wanted to see what I needed) for a tv-out and all it came up with was a tv card and wondered if it was the same thing.

Main reason I'm asking is cos most films on bittorrent are avi or video clip at around 700mb and are very good quality but are a real pain to turn into a vcd!
